Description

We are seeking two full-time Locum Pediatric Anesthesiologists to provide FMLA coverage beginning in November 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to join one of the region's premier children's hospitals and work alongside a collaborative, highly specialized pediatric team.

Position Details

  • Location: Dayton, Ohio

  • Start: November 1, 2026

  • Assignment Length: Through February 28, 2027 or April 30, 2027

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

  • Call: None

  • Setting: Hospital-Based Operating Rooms

  • Practice Model: Mix of personally performed cases and supervision of CRNAs in a care team model

Facility Highlights

  • ACS Level I Trauma Center

  • 22 Anesthesiologists

  • 14 Operating Rooms

  • 50–60 surgical cases per day

  • Annual ER volume of 70,000

  • Collegial, team-oriented environment with experienced surgeons, CRNAs, APPs, nurses, and OR staff

Case Mix

Providers will care for patients ranging from neonates through adults, with exposure to:

  • General Pediatric Surgery

  • Neonatal Cases

  • Adult General Surgery

  • Neurosurgery

  • Complex Orthopedics

  • Thoracic Surgery (excluding open heart)

  • Ventilation Management

No cardiac or transplant surgery.

Requirements

  • Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible in Pediatric Anesthesiology

  • Pediatric Anesthesia Fellowship required

  • Active Ohio medical license

  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications

  • Experience with the required pediatric and neonatal procedures

  • Clean background and malpractice history preferred
