Description
The Department of Anesthesia and Perioperative Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in coastal Charleston, SC is seeking a general anesthesiologist to join their cohesive, highly functioning group. The position is a full-time, academic, multi-disciplinary team-based practice including resident and fellow clinical and didactic education. The ideal candidate would prefer a practice emphasizing a wide range of skill sets and surgical populations.
About the Division of Comprehensive Anesthesia:
The Division of Comprehensive Anesthesia at MUSC is dedicated to advancing perioperative care and innovation. The division features expert clinicians, educators, and researchers who work collaboratively to provide high-quality, patient-centered anesthesia services across a wide range of surgical specialties, supporting both routine and complex procedures. Faculty are actively engaged in teaching and mentorship of medical students, residents, and fellows, while contributing to ongoing clinical innovation and quality improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
American Board of Anesthesiology certification or board eligibility
Eligibility for South Carolina licensure
Strong clinical, education and interpersonal skills that will enable one to work collaboratively with colleagues and be a leader within the department and institution
Research experience and interests are preferred but not required.
