Responsibilities

  • Independently provide and manage anesthesia for a high volume of orthopedic surgical procedures.

  • Conduct thorough pre-anesthesia patient evaluations and develop individualized anesthetic plans.

  • Administer general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care utilizing current techniques.

  • Continuously monitor patient vital signs and manage anesthetic delivery.

  • Manage patient emergence and provide appropriate post-anesthesia care.

  • Maintain accurate and complete patient records in accordance with practice standards.

  • Collaborate effectively with orthopedic surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.

  • Board certification or eligibility in Anesthesiology.

  • Current unrestricted medical license in the State of Texas (or eligibility for licensure).

  • Strong clinical skills and the ability to independently manage anesthesia for orthopedic cases.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.

  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
