Responsibilities

• Provide, tailor, and safely manage comprehensive anesthesia services for a diverse range of scheduled outpatient surgical procedures.

• Conduct thorough pre-anesthesia patient evaluations, review outpatient medical backgrounds, and develop customized, case-specific anesthetic plans.

• Administer general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care (MAC) utilizing current, evidence-based clinical techniques.

• Monitor patient vital signs continuously intraoperatively, adjusting anesthetic delivery dynamically to ensure optimal safety.

• Manage patient emergence smoothly and provide appropriate post-anesthesia care (PACU) oversight in the recovery unit.

• Maintain complete, meticulous, and legally compliant electronic patient and anesthesia safety records.

• Collaborate effectively and maintain excellent professional rapport with surgeons, perioperative nurses, and facility administrative teams.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.

• Successful completion of or current enrollment in an ACGME-accredited Anesthesiology Residency Program.

• Board Certification or active Board Eligibility in Anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA) or equivalent.

• Valid, unrestricted medical license to practice in the state of New Jersey (or immediate eligibility for licensure).

• Anesthesiology residents who are nearing completion of their training are welcome and highly encouraged to apply.

• Strong clinical skills and demonstrated efficiency managing anesthesia for outpatient surgical cases.
