Description

DCH Health System is seeking Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Anesthesiologists to join our growing anesthesia team at DCH Regional Medical Center
in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
This is an excellent opportunity to practice in a diverse, high-acuity environment with a collegial team, strong CRNA support,
and exceptional compensation.
Practice Details
DCH Health System offers a broad and rewarding anesthesia practice that encompasses nearly every case type, except complex pediatric cases.
Our surgical programs include:
  • Cardiothoracic Surgery (2 Thoracic Surgeons, 1 Cardiac Surgeon)
  • Vascular Surgery (2 Surgeons)
  • Neurosurgery (3 Neurosurgeons)
  • Level II Trauma Center
  • General Surgery
  • Regional Anesthesia
  • Obstetrics
  • Pediatric dental rehabilitation, bone marrow transplant procedures, and tonsillectomies
The anesthesia care team model consists of approximately:
  • 80% Medical Direction
  • 20% Medical Supervision
Our current team includes:
  • 5 Full-Time Anesthesiologists
  • 24 Full-Time CRNAs
Call Schedule
  • No 24-hour call requirements
  • Dedicated Night Float System (Saturday through Friday; 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM)
  • Following completion of a night-float week, physicians receive a dedicated week off for recovery
Qualifications
  • Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Anesthesiology
  • No fellowship training required
  • Open to both new graduates and experienced anesthesiologists
Time Off
  • 16 Total Weeks Off Annually (8 weeks PTO and 8 weeks post-night-float recovery time)
Compensation & Benefits
  • Base Salary: $600,000
  • Incentive Compensation: $35,000
  • Additional earning potential exceeding $700,000 annually through in-house locum opportunities
  • $75,000 Sign-On Bonus

  • Relocation Reimbursement up to $20,000
  • Eligible employer for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF)
