Description
About the Practice
An established, highly successful private physician-led anesthesia group located approximately one hour outside the Los Angeles metropolitan area is seeking a skilled, board-certified or board-eligible anesthesiologist for a full-time position. The practice serves a network of premier regional medical facilities, including a major community hospital and modern ambulatory surgery centers. Operating with a collaborative, highly professional perioperative care culture, the group prides itself on clinical excellence, low turnover, and a structural commitment to provider autonomy and equitable corporate governance.
Opportunity
This is a premium, full-time opportunity for an ambitious physician looking to secure an immediate, direct partnership track within a stable private practice group. The position provides an exceptional clinical case balance, allowing you to perform 100% of your own cases without the logistical burdens or liabilities of continuous mid-level supervision.
The caseload is highly diverse, featuring general surgery, obstetrics (OB), pediatrics (peds), vascular, neurology (neuro), regional blocks, orthopedics (ortho), outpatient surgery, and a manageable 10% trauma case mix.
The group structures its operations around an equitable lifestyle framework to safeguard against professional burnout. On-call obligations follow a highly favorable 1:8 rotation layout that strictly guarantees a post-call day off, ensuring optimal rest and schedule predictability.
Whether you are seeking reliable medical registry placements via California state jobs, researching premium group alignments via jobs in Los Angeles California, or evaluating the regional marketplace for a long-term position via anesthesiologist near me, this high-earning private track offers an outstanding combination of professional autonomy, direct financial partnership, and a highly protected personal routine.
Clinical Control: 100% own cases with zero CRNA or mid-level supervision mandates.
Case Profile: Comprehensive, highly varied surgical caseload (10% trauma, OB, peds, vascular, neuro, regional, ortho, and outpatient).
Call Schedule: Equitable 1:8 rotation with a guaranteed post-call day off.
Corporate Track: Immediate, direct pathway to full group partnership.
Geographic Advantage: Positioned an hour from downtown Los Angeles, blending suburban comfort with big-city access.
Responsibilities
Formulate, customize, and safely execute comprehensive perioperative anesthetic care plans for adult and pediatric patients across an expansive case mix.
Perform independent, technically precise administration of general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care (MAC) across all scheduled and emergent cases.
Deliver high-quality anesthesia care for specialty tracks, including specialized neurosurgery, vascular reconstructions, orthopedic configurations, and labor and delivery (OB) units.
Manage acute, higher-acuity surgical scenarios effectively, contributing expert resuscitation and hemodynamic management for the group's 10% trauma case line.
Execute advanced regional anesthesia techniques, including ultrasound-guided peripheral nerve blocks and continuous catheter placements for optimized post-operative pain control.
Maintain comprehensive, meticulous, and legally compliant electronic health records (EHR) and anesthesia documentation in accordance with hospital and practice policies.
Collaborate seamlessly and maintain professional communication with surgical colleagues, perioperative nursing staff, and hospital administration to drive safe operating room workflows.
Qualifications
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited residency training program in Anesthesiology.
Board Certification or active Board Eligibility in Anesthesiology by the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) or equivalent.
Valid, unrestricted medical license to practice in the state of California (or immediate eligibility for licensure).
Demonstrated clinical competency and comfort managing a diverse, full-spectrum caseload, including pediatric, obstetric, and basic trauma populations.
Active, valid Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications.
