Opportunity Highlights

Excellent long-term locum opportunity for a fellowship-trained Cardiac Anesthesiologist in South Central Texas.

• Full-time coverage preferred

• Monday–Friday schedule

• 5x8-hour shifts preferred

• 10-hour shifts may be considered

• No call

• No weekends

• Independent practice with solo cases

• 6–12 month assignment with preference for a one-year commitment

• Temporary privileges may be available

• Approximately 45–60 day credentialing timeframe

• Competitive compensation

Case Mix: Cardiac, Cath Lab, General Surgery, Ortho, Urology, GI, GYN, and ENT. Cardiac cases include CABG, valve procedures, TEE, AFib procedures, ICD implants, and ECMO.

The physician will primarily provide independent anesthesia care and should be comfortable managing complex cardiac cases.

Requirements

• Cardiac Anesthesiology Fellowship – Required

• TEE Certification – Preferred

• Active Texas medical license

• Board Certified

• ACLS

• BLS

• Clean professional and malpractice history

• Comfortable practicing independently

• Strong cardiac anesthesia experience

Additional Details

The physician may provide coverage across multiple facilities within the same regional health system, with advance notice provided for any float coverage.

EMR experience with Cerner is helpful but not required.
