This is a highly autonomous, lucrative part-time position for a CRNA seeking a predictable, daylight-driven schedule. The clinical focus centers entirely on general/MAC sedation for routine ophthalmology cases from Monday through Thursday, with flexible part-time options available. Responsibilities

• Administer, manage, and tailor top-quality monitored anesthesia care (MAC) or general anesthesia for scheduled adult outpatient ophthalmic procedures.

• Conduct efficient, focused pre-anesthetic physiological assessments to verify patient readiness for an ambulatory surgical environment.

• Maintain safe, steady airway control and hemodynamic stability throughout fast-paced, rapid-turnover surgical lines.

• Manage safe post-anesthesia emergence and oversee the clinical recovery area to ensure smooth, uneventful patient discharges.

• Complete all electronic health charts and anesthesia medical documentation thoroughly and promptly following each case.

• Coordinate seamlessly with the attending ophthalmologists and surgical technicians to ensure efficient, safe, and collaborative room turnover.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) and an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the state of North Carolina.

• Active certification or recertification as a CRNA by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).

• Demonstrated clinical competency and comfort working independently in high-volume, fast-paced outpatient surgery centers (ASCs).

• Active, valid Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications.
