About the Clinician's Workday
The Internal Medicine physician will provide outpatient primary care services to an adult patient population during day shift hours at a correctional facility. Clinical responsibilities include conducting patient evaluations and managing acute and chronic medical conditions, seeing 15-20 patients per day. Call coverage is required; the clinician will serve on 2nd call on a week-long rotation from Sunday night to Sunday day, covering all facility locations once every 2 months. The clinician will work collaboratively with NPs and nursing staff to support the care needs of the patient population. Prescriptive authority is required for this assignment.
