Responsibilities

  • Administer, manage, and precisely tailor general anesthesia, regional blocks, and monitored anesthesia care (MAC) for an expansive multi-specialty caseload.

  • Provide expert perioperative care across diverse service lines, including OB, pediatric, trauma, vascular, orthopedic, and outpatient cases.

  • Formulate and implement comprehensive anesthetic plans based on rigorous pre-operative patient assessments and physiological risk profiling.

  • Maintain direct, expert management of patient airways, mechanical ventilation parameters, and intraoperative fluid/hemostatic balance.

  • Collaborate closely with surgeons, attending anesthesiologists, and specialized nursing teams to maximize efficiency and maintain safe, streamlined clinical workflows.

  • Supervise post-anesthesia emergence and manage immediate phase-1 recovery care parameters to guarantee a smooth transition to post-operative units or home discharge.

  • Document thorough, precise, and fully compliant electronic anesthesia records immediately following each surgical encounter.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited nurse anesthesia educational program.

  • Current, unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN) and an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) in the State of New Jersey.

  • Active certification or recertification by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).

  • SRNAs in their final year of training are highly welcome and encouraged to apply.

  • Active, valid Federal DEA registration and New Jersey state controlled substance privileges.

  • Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications.
