About the Clinician's Workday
Clinicians will provide outpatient primary care services to adult patients (ages 14 and older) at a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Huntsville, Alabama, working 4 to 5 days per week - Monday through Thursday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Friday from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The expected caseload is 15-20 patients per day, and the clinician must be prepared to collaborate with midlevel providers on site. Call coverage is required at a 1:6 ratio; calls are routed through a service before reaching the clinician, and current clinicians report typically receiving 1-2 calls per week. Required credentials include board certification or board eligibility in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine, an active Alabama medical license (must be in hand prior to presentation), DEA registration, flu vaccination, and prescriptive authority.
