An established, highly respected private anesthesia group providing comprehensive perioperative services across Morris and Sussex counties in Northern New Jersey is seeking a dedicated, full-time General Anesthesiologist to join their expanding medical team. The group serves multiple premier community hospitals and ambulatory surgical facilities, handling a diverse, stable mix of B&B cases. The practice culture values clinical precision, collaborative multi-specialty communication, and a balanced lifestyle, providing an environment where both seasoned physicians and new graduates can thrive.

Opportunity

  • Clinical Focus: High-yield B&B cases (OB, basic peds, regional, and outpatient surgery).

  • Case Exclusions: Absolute zero cardiac or high-acuity trauma responsibilities.

  • Practice Flexibility: Choose between an elite-earning call track or a lifestyle-friendly no-call model.

  • Career Inclusivity: Highly supportive structure that warmly welcomes graduating Residents.

  • Employment Status: Secure, stable full-time private practice placement.

Responsibilities

  • Provide, tailor, and safely manage comprehensive anesthesia services for a broad range of routine surgical and procedural cases, including OB, general surgery, minor pediatrics, and orthopedics.

  • Demonstrate technical proficiency across various modern anesthetic techniques, including regional nerve blocks, spinal/epidural placement, general anesthesia, and monitored anesthesia care (MAC).

  • Conduct thorough pre-anesthesia patient evaluations, review medical histories, and manage immediate post-anesthesia care (PACU) progression.

  • Call Position Track: Participate equitably in the shared primary call schedule, covering facility evenings and weekends as required.

  • No Call Position Track: Maintain a fixed, non-call daylight schedule with zero weekend or evening obligations.

  • Collaborate effectively and maintain excellent professional rapport with surgeons, obstetricians, perioperative nurses, and facility administrative teams.

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.

  • Successful completion of or current enrollment in an ACGME-accredited Anesthesiology Residency Program.

  • Board Certification or active Board Eligibility in Anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA) or equivalent.

  • Valid, unrestricted medical license to practice in the state of New Jersey (or immediate eligibility for licensure).
