Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive general anesthesia care for a wide range of elective, urgent, and emergency surgical procedures.

• Manage perioperative care across general surgery, orthopedics, urology, gynecology, ENT, podiatry, and endoscopy suites.

• Direct and supervise Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) and anesthesia care team members.

• Conduct thorough pre-anesthetic consultations, medical risk stratifications, and post-operative evaluations.

• Formulate and implement custom anesthetic plans incorporating general, regional, neuraxial, and monitored anesthesia care (MAC) techniques.

• Manage acute post-operative pain management protocols and hemodynamic stabilization in the PACU.

• Maintain complete, accurate, and compliant electronic medical record (EMR) charting for all patient encounters.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.

• Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited Anesthesiology Residency program.

• Board Certification or active Board Eligibility by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA) or American Osteopathic Board of Anesthesiology (AOBA).

• Active, unrestricted Physician License in the State of New Jersey (or immediate eligibility).

• Active Federal DEA registration and New Jersey CDS registration.

• Active Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications.
