Responsibilities

  • Formulate and implement safe, individualized perioperative anesthetic plans based on rigorous pre-operative patient assessments and comprehensive chart reviews.

  • Maintain direct, continuous intraoperative management of patient airways, fluid balance, and physiological stability during complex elective and emergency procedures.

  • Provide rapid, high-efficiency anesthesia responses for acute trauma care lines and critical obstetrical interventions.

  • Supervise post-anesthesia emergence and manage acute recovery care transitions to optimize patient comfort and safety parameters.

  • Complete thorough, accurate, and timely electronic medical records (EMR) and charting for all perioperative encounters.

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical institution.

  • Current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of New Jersey (or immediate eligibility to obtain).

  • Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited Anesthesiology Residency program.

  • Board Certified or actively eligible for Board Certification by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA).

  • Anesthesia residents completing their training are welcome and encouraged to apply.

  • Active, valid Federal DEA registration and New Jersey state controlled substance privileges.

  • Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented approach to multi-specialty clinical care.
