Responsibilities

• Provide and manage anesthesia for a diverse range of surgical and obstetrical procedures.

• Conduct thorough pre-anesthesia patient evaluations and develop individualized anesthetic plans.

• Administer general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care utilizing current techniques.

• Continuously monitor patient vital signs and adjust anesthetic delivery to ensure safety and optimal surgical conditions.

• Manage emergence and provide appropriate post-anesthesia care in the PACU.

• Call Positions: Participate in a rotation of 1x per week (with post-call day off) and one (1) weekend per month.

• Maintain accurate electronic clinical records and collaborate with the multidisciplinary surgical team.

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to all safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.

• Board Certification or Eligibility (ABA or AOBA) in Anesthesiology.

• Valid and unrestricted New Jersey medical license (or eligibility for licensure).

• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.

• Proficiency in a variety of anesthetic techniques; regional anesthesia skills are a significant plus.

• Effective communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
