About the Clinician's Workday

The hematologist/oncologist will provide comprehensive ambulatory hematology and oncology care Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM managing 12-16 patients per day. Clinical responsibilities include prescribing home and ambulatory chemotherapy, biotherapy, and immunotherapy treatments for patients with hematologic and oncologic conditions. The clinician will perform ambulatory bone marrow biopsies using local anesthetic and provide phone consultation during clinic hours to hospitalists and emergency department clinicians with occasional inpatient consultation comprising less than 5% of the workload. Board certification in Medical Oncology is required for this position.
