Description
Join a growing North Texas interventional pain practice in the Plano / McKinney corridor for a full-time, board-certified pain physician role. Physicians here typically earn around $600,000 on average. Compensation includes a competitive one- to two-year base guarantee of $400,000. After you meet that guarantee, compensation shifts to 50% of collections. Partnership begins immediately with no buy-in fee, and you also receive ownership in a multi-specialty ambulatory surgery center that pays quarterly distributions. This role is for experienced interventional pain physicians (anesthesiology or PM&R); new graduates are not being considered.
What the Practice Looks Like You'll step into an existing outpatient pain clinic alongside other interventionalists. Nurse practitioners and physician assistants manage much of the follow-up workload, and a dedicated management team runs the business side. Your focus stays on interventional procedures. The practice is outpatient-based; hospital staff privileges are reserved for emergency coverage only.
Procedures You'll Perform Stimulator and pump implant capability is required, along with a procedure-heavy schedule of roughly 20–30 cases per day and at least 100 procedures per month. Core case mix:
Spinal cord stimulator trials and permanent implants
Pump implants
Nerve blocks and epidurals
Joint and muscular injections
Radiofrequency ablations under fluoroscopy

Hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Earnings and Ownership Structure
Average income around $600,000
One- to two-year base guarantee of $400,000
50% of collections after the guarantee period

Candidate Requirements
Completion of an accredited pain fellowship
Board certification in anesthesiology or physical medicine and rehabilitation
Ability to perform spinal cord stimulator and pump implants plus high-volume fluoro-guided procedures
Texas medical license, or actively working toward one
Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-centered approach
Experienced interventional pain physicians only (new graduates not considered)
