Responsibilities
Formulate, customize, and execute comprehensive interventional treatment plans for adult patients presenting with complex chronic spinal, radicular, and peripheral joint pain.
Perform a high daily volume of image-guided interventional pain procedures with exceptional technical precision, including radiofrequency ablations, spinal injections, epidurals, and large joint injections (knees and shoulders).
Conduct electrodiagnostic evaluations, including Electromyographies (EMGs) and nerve conduction studies, to accurately diagnose neuropathic and radicular pathologies.
Perform detailed initial consultations and post-procedural follow-up evaluations to track patient functional improvement, adjusting multi-modal therapies accordingly.
Maintain comprehensive, accurate, and prompt electronic health records (EHR) in strict compliance with state regulatory laws and practice standards.
Collaborate fluidly with the group's practicing physicians, advanced practice providers, and local physical therapy networks to ensure seamless, holistic patient care pathways.
Qualifications
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited residency in either Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) or Anesthesiology.
Completion of (or current enrollment in) an accredited subspecialty Fellowship in Pain Medicine is strictly required.
Board Certification or active Board Eligibility in Pain Medicine by the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) or the American Osteopathic Association (AOA).
Valid, unrestricted medical license to practice in the state of New Jersey.
Verifiable clinical competency in advanced fluoroscopic and ultrasound-guided spinal and peripheral interventions, as well as performing independent EMGs.
Physician must carry and maintain their own independent professional medical malpractice insurance policy.
