Responsibilities

• Formulate, coordinate, and safely execute individualized anesthetic plans based on focused pre-operative screenings and outpatient safety guidelines.

• Administer, titrate, and continuously monitor general anesthesia, specialized regional blocks, and monitored anesthesia care (MAC) for multi-specialty day surgeries.

• Direct intraoperative airway management, mechanical ventilation parameters, and physiological fluid balance throughout the fast-paced surgical schedule.

• Collaborate closely with attending surgeons, multi-specialty OR tech teams, and ASC nursing staff to ensure optimized room turnover and clear clinical pathways.

• Oversee immediate post-anesthesia emergence and evaluate phase-1 recovery markers to ensure safe, efficient patient criteria matching for home discharge.

• Document thorough, timely, and fully compliant electronic anesthesia records immediately following the completion of each surgical encounter.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nurse anesthesia educational program.

• Current, unrestricted license to practice as an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) and Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Florida.

• Active certification or recertification by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).

• Valid Federal DEA registration and Florida state controlled substance credentials.

• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications.

• Must maintain independent professional liability (malpractice) insurance coverage.
