Description
Experienced Labor & Delivery RN – Night Shift
A leading acute-care hospital in Seattle is seeking experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurses for full-time night-shift positions. This is an excellent opportunity to join a patient-centered maternal-care team and provide evidence-based care to patients and families throughout the labor and delivery experience.
Pay & Schedule
Full-time, 36 hours per week.
Three 12-hour shifts.
Night shift.
Permanent, direct-hire employment.
$53-$101/hour
Compensation and benefits
Competitive compensation based on relevant experience.
Hiring bonus of up to $15,000 for eligible external candidates.

Eligibility requirements and payment terms apply to the hiring bonus. Compensation is determined by the employer based on experience, credentials, internal equity and other applicable factors.
Responsibilities
Assess patients and develop, implement and evaluate individualized nursing plans.
Provide direct nursing care throughout labor, delivery and immediate recovery.
Monitor maternal and fetal status and communicate significant changes.
Support inductions, vaginal deliveries, Cesarean deliveries and obstetric emergencies.
Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols.
Coordinate care with physicians, midwives, neonatal clinicians and other team members.
Educate and support patients and families.
Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation.
Apply patient-safety, quality-improvement and evidence-based nursing standards.
Advocate for patient dignity, autonomy, values and informed decision-making.
Required qualifications
Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
At least one full year of paid RN experience in Labor & Delivery.
Washington RN license or qualifying authority to practice in Washington.
Current American Heart Association BLS.
Current NRP certification.
Ability and willingness to work full-time nights.
Clinical rotations, student employment and residency experience do not satisfy the required one year of independent L&D RN experience.
Preferred qualification
National specialty certification, such as RNC-OB or C-EFM.
