Role Overview
We are hiring a Psychologist to provide comprehensive psychological services within an institutional/correctional setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering timely, high-quality mental health care.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct psychological screenings and assessments through review of records and clinical interviews

  • Develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans based on clinical needs and level of functioning

  • Provide individual counseling, mental health assessments, crisis intervention, and de-escalation support

  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, physicians, nurses, social workers, mental health providers, and other clinical staff

  • Conduct regular rounds in segregation and other confined housing areas to assess mental health needs and adjustment

  • Apply appropriate psychological counseling theories and techniques in the treatment of assigned caseloads

  • Collaborate with medical, nursing, educational, chaplain, security, and other staff regarding changes in mental health or escalating behaviors

  • Provide timely clinical guidance during after-hours incidents and mental health emergencies

  • Maintain appropriate clinical documentation and ensure continuity of patient care


Compensation

  • Salary: $180,952 – $190,000 annually

  • Relocation: Full relocation package available

Requirements

  • Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Psychology from an accredited college or university

  • Current, unrestricted license to practice Psychology in the State of Minnesota

  • Minimum 2 years of clinical experience.

  • Valid driver's license

  • Must be at least 21 years of age

  • Strong clinical assessment, counseling, and crisis-intervention skills

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary mental health team

  • Ability to provide timely clinical guidance during emergencies and after-hours incidents

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a correctional facility, detention center, or institutional setting

  • Experience working with individuals experiencing behavioral health or psychiatric concerns in a structured environment
