Description
Specialty: Anesthesiologist
Dates/Coverage Needed: ASAC - Minimum 2 weeks/month consistently
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7 AM - 3 PM and M-F 3 PM - 7 AMOT After 40 hours/week
Length: 6+ months
Case Mix: Peds capable - healthy peds, BMT, Tonsils and adenoids.
Occasionally an ortho case.
Lots of eyes, ortho, total joints (lots), urology, general, podiatry, endo, vascular, lungs (not too often), blocks, healthy peds (ENT), spine.
No hearts, heads, trauma, or OB.
The three most common blocks are: Spinals; Adductor canal blocks; Interscalene blocks.
The CRNA's do blocks as well as the anesthesiologist, so if someone does not do blocks we will still use them
Call: Weeknight and weekend required
Night coverage model: pager. 3 pm - 7 an, M-FWeekend 24 hour pager call
Medical Supervision - yes. 2: 9
Staffing Model: MD, CRNA, AAAnnual volume: 5,000
Avg # cases/day: 29# of OR's: 8
Credentialing Time-Frame: 90 days
