Opportunity Overview
Palm Health is seeking 4 Certified Anesthesiologist Assistants (CA
As) to support an established anesthesia team at a large inpatient facility.
This is a full-time locum assignment covering a broad range of surgical services in a collaborative team setting.
Assignment Highlights
Shifts: Mix of 8, 10, 12, and 16-hour shifts
Facility Open: 7 days/week
Saturdays: Elective cases 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM, standby call after
Sundays: Standby call only
Call schedule: Rotated among the anesthetist team
Cases/Day: Varies – Average 2 to 10
Patient Age Range: Adults only (16–99 years)
Support Team: 5 anesthesiologists + CRNAs
Department: 12 ORs, including Cath labs
Documentation:
EMR: Cerner (general charting)
Anesthesia Charting: Paper
Clinical Scope
You’ll be exposed to a wide variety of surgical cases, including:
General Surgery (including robotic/minimally invasive)
Orthopedics
Neurosurgery
Electrophysiology & Structural Cardiology
GI Endoscopy
Requirements
Certification: Active CAA certification required
Certifications: BLS & ACLS required
Board Status: Must have passed national boards
DEA: Not required (practice under supervising anesthesiologist license)
Experience: Open to new grads
Credentialing Timeframe: 30–60 days
Privileges: Temporary privileges available
