Qualifications
- M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited College of Medicine
- Completion of an accredited residency in Anesthesiology
- Board Certification or Fellowship in Anesthesiology required
- Current, unrestricted Physician license in New York State
- ECFMG and FLEX (if applicable)
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience as an anesthesiologist
Key Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative medical management and anesthesia care across general, orthopedic, and obstetric procedures
- Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments, obtain/verify informed consent, and discuss anesthetic options and risks with patients
- Perform induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia; monitor physiologic status and manage intraoperative events
- Deliver obstetric anesthesia, including labor analgesia and cesarean anesthesia as needed
- Perform regional anesthesia techniques and other clinical interventions as appropriate
- Supervise CRNAs (1:4 MD to CRNA ratio) and manage own cases to ensure high-quality, team-based perioperative care
- Assist in directing and coordinating activities within the Anesthesia Department to support smooth OR operations
