Description
Locum Anesthesiologist Opportunity – Southern Indiana / Louisville, KY Area
Zeal Medical Staffing is seeking a Board-Certified Anesthesiologist for a locum opportunity in Southern Indiana, just outside the Louisville, KY area.
Position Details:
📍 Southern Indiana / Louisville, KY area
📅 Start: ASAP
📆 6-month contract with option to extend
⏰ Approximately 40–45 hours/week
🏥 5 days/week
🌙 No nights
📞 No call
🎉 No holidays
📅 Weekend rotation: Approximately 1:5 Saturdays, typically only 1–2 cases and finished by 1:00 PM
✅ PRN coverage will also be considered
⚡ Temporary privileges available – approximately 7-day credentialing timeframe
✈️ Travel and expenses available based on provider needs
Schedule:
• 6:30 AM arrival
• Variable exit times of approximately 1:00 PM, 3:00 PM, or 6:00 PM depending on OR schedule
Practice Details:
• Supervision model
• 4 Anesthesiologists + 9 CRNAs/CAAs daily
• 6 ORs + 3 Endoscopy rooms
• No OB
Case Mix:
• Endoscopy – 35%
• Urology – 25%
• Orthopedics/Spine/Podiatry – 25%
• GYN/General – 10%
• Eyes/ENT – 5%
Requirements:
• Board Certified in Anesthesiology
• Active Indiana or Kentucky license
• Minimum 2 years of experience
• Must be highly proficient with nerve blocks
• Active DEA
• ACLS & BLS
EMR: Paper charting
