Job Details
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (with potential for extension)
- Start Date: Asap
- Shift: 10-hour days, 4 days per week (40 hours/week)
- Number of Openings: 2 CRNA positions
- Setting: Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) – outpatient general anesthesia cases
- Charting System: Epic (electronic medical record)
- Supervision Model: 4:1 CRNA to MD ratio; MDs supervise CRNAs
Qualifications / Job Requirements
- Current RN license and graduation from an accredited nurse anesthesia program
- Certified (or recertified) by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists
- Minimum 1 year of CRNA clinical experience—experience in general anesthesia or ambulatory surgery preferred
- Willingness to obtain North Carolina state license if not already held (North Carolina licensure for CRNAs required)
- Experience with Epic charting or other electronic medical records is a plus
Responsibilities
- Perform pre-anesthesia assessments and evaluate patient medical history
- Obtain and verify informed consent and discuss anesthetic options and risks with patients
- Develop and implement anesthetic plans for general anesthesia cases in an ASC setting
- Induce, maintain, and manage emergence from anesthesia while monitoring physiologic status
- Perform clinical interventions and intraoperative monitoring as needed; coordinate handoff to PACU/MD
- Adhere to facility policies, patient safety standards, and professional best practices for anesthesia care
