Job Details
  • Assignment Length: 13 weeks (with potential for extension)
  • Start Date: Asap
  • Shift: 10-hour days, 4 days per week (40 hours/week)
  • Number of Openings: 2 CRNA positions
  • Setting: Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) – outpatient general anesthesia cases
  • Charting System: Epic (electronic medical record)
  • Supervision Model: 4:1 CRNA to MD ratio; MDs supervise CRNAs
Qualifications / Job Requirements
  • Current RN license and graduation from an accredited nurse anesthesia program
  • Certified (or recertified) by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists
  • Minimum 1 year of CRNA clinical experience—experience in general anesthesia or ambulatory surgery preferred
  • Willingness to obtain North Carolina state license if not already held (North Carolina licensure for CRNAs required)
  • Experience with Epic charting or other electronic medical records is a plus
Responsibilities
  • Perform pre-anesthesia assessments and evaluate patient medical history
  • Obtain and verify informed consent and discuss anesthetic options and risks with patients
  • Develop and implement anesthetic plans for general anesthesia cases in an ASC setting
  • Induce, maintain, and manage emergence from anesthesia while monitoring physiologic status
  • Perform clinical interventions and intraoperative monitoring as needed; coordinate handoff to PACU/MD
  • Adhere to facility policies, patient safety standards, and professional best practices for anesthesia care
