Weekend-Focused Coverage | No Call | Flexible Scheduling
Palm Health Resources is actively recruiting Locum CRNAs for a high-volume hospital in the Springfield, MO region.
This is an ongoing opportunity driven by expanded weekend OR coverage, with flexible scheduling options and no call responsibilities.
Assignment Details:
Start Date: ASAP (ongoing need)
Duration: Ongoing with strong extension potential
Schedule (coverage-driven, flexible):Fridays: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Saturdays: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM or 7:00 AM – 11:00 PM
Sundays: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM or 7:00 AM – 11:00 PM
Mondays: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Coverage Model: Client is seeking up to 4 CRNAs to help support expanded weekend OR coverage (not strictly 4 full-time FTEs — flexible coverage combinations welcomed)
Call: None — no beeper call, no overnight call
Setting: Inpatient hospital
Model: Medical direction (approx. 1 anesthesiologist : 4 CRNAs)
EMR: Epic
Credentialing: ~60–90 days (expedited possible with approval)
Clinical Scope:
Broad case mix including:
General surgery
Orthopedics
Neuro & spine
ENT
GI / endoscopy (higher patient turnover areas)
OB support (C-sections; epidurals handled by MDs)
Pediatrics (must be PALS-certified; weekends may include peds coverage)
Thoracic & vascular (non-cardiac)
Important Notes: No cardiac/open heart cases (covered by separate CV team)
Pediatric exposure varies:
Weekdays: dedicated peds team covers most cases
Weekends: CRNAs may see pediatric patients (generally not complex neonates)
Skills Required:
General anesthesia
Airway & ventilation management
Hemodynamic management
Regional/spinal/epidural familiarity (support role in OB)
Ability to work across variable case volumes
Volume & Staffing:
Case volume varies significantly by assignment:
Endoscopy: up to ~30 patients/day
Main OR: typically 1–2 cases per room/day
Weekend expansion:
Saturday: ~8 OR sites (2 MDs covering)
Sunday: expansion from 4 → 8 OR sites (higher demand)
Weekday coverage includes up to 32 staffed sites across system
Compensation
Highly competitive 1099 rates — negotiable based on coverage & commitment
