Trauma Anesthesia CRNA (Independent)

Full-Time Locum CRNA
Locations: Boise & Nampa, Idaho
Position Type: Locum Tenens – Full-Time Coverage
Schedule: 40 hours/week guaranteed
EMR: Epic

Position Overview
Candidates must be available for full-time coverage.

Important: Locum providers may work for up to 12 consecutive months, followed by a 6-month break, before returning for another 12-month assignment.

Schedule & Call
40 hours guaranteed per week working 8, 10, &12 hour shifts
Some Call required: One weeknight per month, One weekend per month
Candidates must be willing to participate in call coverage

Clinical Practice
Primarily trauma cases
CRNAs perform spinal blocks only
No regional anesthesia required
Patient population includes adolescent, child, adult, and geriatric patients
More than 90% of patients are over age 12
Independent practice experience required, including conducting own pre-ops
OB care proficiency preferred
Regional anesthesia proficiency should be noted
Experience working independently rather than in a supervised practice model is required

17 Main Operating Rooms (MOR)
7 DSC operating rooms
Additional cases in: Special procedures, Cath labs, Endoscopy, Radiology
EMR: Epic
Required Credentials: NBCRNA certification, Idaho state license, DEA, CSR/CDS, BLS
COVID-19 vaccination
Credentialing timeframe: Approximately 90 days.

Travel & Lodging
Travel reimbursement is subject to the following caps:

Flights: Up to $750 round trip, including taxes and fees
Hotel: Up to $179/night, including taxes and fees
Preferred lodging: Candlewood Suites Boise – Towne Square, an IHG Hotel
Rental car: Up to $50/day, including taxes and fees
reimbursed by the facility. SUV or rental upgrades exceeding the cap require pre-approval and will generally only be approved when needed due to inclement weather
Mileage: IRS standard mileage rate when using a personal vehicle
Mileage reimbursement cannot be combined with rental-car reimbursement
