About the Clinician's Workday
The nurse practitioner will provide night shift inpatient neurosurgical coverage from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM on a one week on, one week off schedule, beginning January 2027 at a JCAHO-accredited, 974-bed tertiary hospital and Level 1 Trauma Center. Clinical responsibilities include managing admissions, discharges, consultations, and OR first assist as desired; discharges at night are not typical but remain a possibility. The clinician will work alongside an established team of 9 Neurosurgeons and 9 APPs providing 24/7 inpatient support. Current BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association are required, and the candidate must report for orientation the day prior to the first shift.
