Description
Night Float Anesthesiologist opportunity in Syracuse, NY, in an area ideal for outdoor exploration at Crouse Health Hospital. Crouse includes the main hospital, and 3 ASC’s. You will find a collegial anesthesia environment as well as supportive working relationships with the surgeons and OR staff. The site has an excellent Anesthesia Tech support and Pre-Op Testing Center. Staff members work in a care-team model

Sign-on Incentives (Bonus with/without retention, Training Assistance, or Loan Repayment): $100K
Responsibilities
  • Case assignments: General, GYN, Bariatrics, Robotics, Ortho, Spine, Crani’s, Thoracic, Vascular, Urology/Renal, ENT, Eyes, Plastics, Podiatry, Endo, EP/Cath Lab, Healthy Peds. No open heart surgeries.
  • Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department
  • Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures
  • Pre-anesthesia assessment
  • Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
  • Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
  • Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
  • Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
  • Performance of clinical intervention as needed
Requirements
  • M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine
  • ECFMG and FLEX
  • Completion of approved residency in anesthesia
  • Currently licensed as a physician
Salary: $625K
