An established private practice in the greater Austin, Texas area is seeking a skilled, compassionate Anesthesiologist to join its specialized clinical team. The practice provides dedicated anesthesia services for outpatient Pediatric Dental procedures in a modern, child-friendly clinical setting. Working alongside experienced pediatric dentists and supportive clinical staff, the physician will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care focused on safety, efficiency, and positive pediatric outcomes.

This position offers exceptional flexibility with both full-time and part-time tracks available.
Schedule: Daytime schedule with no call duties, no night shifts, and no weekend coverage.
Part-Time Track: 3 days per week schedule.
Focused Caseload: Dedicated to Pediatric Dental Anesthesia for healthy pediatric patients only (ASA 1 & 2).
Direct Care Model: No CRNA supervision required—physicians administer and manage 100% of their own cases directly.
Employment Flexibility: Both W2 and 1099 independent contractor options are fully supported.

Key Responsibilities
Administer general anesthesia, deep sedation, and monitored anesthesia care (MAC) tailored specifically for pediatric dental procedures.
Perform thorough pre-anesthetic history evaluations, physical assessments, and airway risk stratifications for pediatric patients.
Manage total intraoperative anesthesia care, vital signs monitoring, and airway preservation independently (100% hands-on, no supervision required).
Oversee immediate post-anesthetic recovery, ensuring young patients meet discharge criteria safely.
Maintain active communication and rapport with pediatric patients and their parents or guardians.
Complete accurate, timely, and compliant Electronic Health Record (EHR) documentation.
Qualifications
MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology.
Completion of an accredited Anesthesiology Residency Program.
Specialized experience or strong proficiency in pediatric anesthesia / pediatric dental anesthesia.
Active, unrestricted Texas Medical License (or eligible to obtain prior to start).
Active Federal DEA registration and Texas Controlled Substances registration.
Active Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications.
