Founded in 1991, PAA provides anesthesia and perioperative care at numerous healthcare facilities across the state, serving more than 246,000 patients annually.
About the Hospital:
Brunswick Medical Center is a 74 bed, 4 OR, 1 ENDO, 1 Procedure Room, 1 OB OR acute care facility.
It offers a comprehensive range of services including a 24-hour emergency department, maternity center, surgical services, intensive and progressive care units, and imaging and laboratory services, as well as physical therapy, speech therapy, cardiac rehabilitation, and pulmonary rehabilitation.
Anesthesia Opportunity:
The Brunswick group is comprised of 4 full time anesthesiologists and 10 CRNAs working in a care team model.
Physicians perform approximately 10% of cases solo, most notably nights and weekends with backup CRNA if needed.
Our team has a great professional and personal relationship which translates into providing safe and successful care for our patients.
The type of cases are Bread and Butter mainly (General, Ortho, Ob/Gyn, Plastic, Healthy Peds, ENT, Urology, No Hearts or Heads, and No Trauma).
The first call responsibilities are split evenly among physicians.
As mentioned, CRNAs provide back up call coverage on nights and weekends.
The schedule is 2 weeks on 2 weeks off at the hospital and 1 week coverage at plastic surgery center with 13 weeks PTO.
