Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including history taking, physical examinations, and review of relevant diagnostic tests, with a focus on medication management for chronic pain.

• Prescribe and manage pain medications, including controlled substances, in accordance with state and federal regulations and practice protocols.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.

• Current NCCPA certification.

• Valid and unrestricted South Carolina Physician Assistant license (or eligible for licensure).

• Experience in pain management, family medicine, internal medicine, or a related specialty is preferred.

• Strong knowledge of pharmacology and medication management principles, particularly as applied to chronic pain.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient education skills.
