Refractive & Cataract Surgeon – Ophthalmologist
Location: Sebring, Florida | Occasional travel to Tampa
Position: Full-Time
The Opportunity
We are seeking a skilled, patient-focused Refractive & Cataract Surgeon to join an established ophthalmology practice in Florida. This is an excellent opportunity for an ophthalmologist with strong surgical and clinical skills who enjoys delivering high-quality, personalized patient care.
The ideal candidate will have experience in cataract surgery and advanced refractive care, with particular interest in laser vision correction, refractive cataract surgery, premium IOL technology, and other innovative vision-correction procedures.
The position is primarily based in Sebring, Florida, with travel to the Tampa area as needed.
What You’ll Do
Provide comprehensive ophthalmic evaluations and patient care
Perform cataract surgery and other clinically indicated ophthalmic procedures
Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient management
Work with advanced refractive technology and premium IOL options
Perform refractive, corneal, or glaucoma procedures based on training and experience
Collaborate closely with optometrists, technicians, and other members of the clinical team
Educate patients regarding surgical and vision-correction options
Maintain timely and accurate EMR documentation
Deliver an exceptional patient experience throughout the continuum of care
Qualifications
MD or DO degree
Completion of an accredited ophthalmology residency
Board Certified in Ophthalmology
Active Florida medical license
Strong cataract surgical and clinical experience
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Patient-centered approach to care
Experience with laser vision correction, refractive cataract surgery, premium IOLs, corneal procedures, glaucoma procedures, or advanced vision-correction technology is highly valued.
