Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Director of Rehabilitation to lead our 120 bed SNF. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing daily rehabilitation operations, ensuring exceptional patient care, supporting clinical staff, and maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate is a licensed Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or Speech-Language Pathologist with previous rehabilitation experience and a passion for team leadership, clinical excellence, and patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the daily operations of the rehabilitation department
Lead, mentor, and support a multidisciplinary therapy team
Recruit, onboard, train, and supervise rehabilitation staff
Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching and development
Ensure high-quality patient care and positive clinical outcomes
Develop and implement departmental policies, procedures, and best practices
Maintain compliance with state, federal, and facility regulations
Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
Manage department resources, scheduling, equipment, and budgetary needs
Build and maintain relationships with referral sources and community partners
Monitor productivity, quality metrics, and departmental performance
Stay current on industry trends, regulatory updates, and rehabilitation best practices
Qualifications
Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech-Language Pathology
Current state license as a PT, OT, or SLP in good standing
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a rehabilitation setting
Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
Strong knowledge of rehabilitation operations and regulatory requirements
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
