Position: Neurointerventional Radiologic Technologist
The Neurointerventional Radiologic Technologist is responsible for performing a range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the Angio Interventional Radiology and Neuro Interventional Radiology services. This includes both extra-cranial and intracranial angiography, vertebroplasty, spinal injections, myelograms, cisternograms, embolizations, cryoablations, coilings, and clot retrievals. The role prioritizes activities that enhance customer service for employees, medical staff, patients, and regulatory agencies.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical support for various interventional and neurointerventional procedures, including discograms, aspirations, therapeutic injections, angiography, and ablations.
Assist in sterile and non-sterile neurointerventional procedures such as tumor, epistaxis, and spinal lesion embolization.
Operate advanced imaging equipment following established guidelines and protocols.
Adhere to safety standards and radiation safety practices.
Instruct and mentor students and residents, fulfilling preceptor duties when needed.
Conduct quality assurance checks on imaging equipment.
Maintain inventory of supplies necessary for all interventional procedures.
Utilize information systems for scheduling and procedure documentation.
Review coding procedures to ensure accurate billing for all services.
Stay updated on new techniques and technologies through educational opportunities.
Adhere to accepted clinical principles and maintain patient confidentiality.
Comply with hospital policies related to incident reporting and other operational procedures.
Perform additional related duties as necessary.

Education and Certifications:
Required Education: Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology.
Required Licensure: New York State license as a Radiologic Technologist. Can apply after offer
Required Certifications: ARRT(R), BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross).
