Cardiac Anesthesiologist

Scope Anesthesia of North Carolina is seeking a cardiac anesthesiologist.
The team is expanding due to additional volume growth and case expansion at Carolinas Medical Center and Atrium Health Pineville located in Charlotte, NC.
Common case types include cardiac, thoracic, vascular, EP/structural heart.
Typical cardiac cases include but are not limited to: CABGs, valves, aortic repairs, impellas, LVA
Ds, and heart transplants.
Typical thoracic cases include robotic lung surgery.
Typical vascular cases include endovascular procedures, aortic repairs, open lower extremity vascular cases, carotid surgery and dialysis access surgery.
Typical EP/structural cases include ICD, pacemaker placements, ablations (atrial and ventricular), TAVR, mitral clips and Watchman.
The cardiac team also consults on patients with cardiovascular disease, including those undergoing cardio-OB procedures, as well as patients needing non-cardiac surgical procedures.

Primary cardiac anesthesia position with a minimal mix of general OR caseload
Schedule includes Q9 call and post call day off.
Low staffing ratios (1:2 or less)
Primarily medical direction, with the opportunity to do your own lower acuity cases during day cadence, if interested.
Home call
9 weeks of vacation
Ownership opportunity within 6 months
