In 2020, we transitioned the Nurse Anesthesia Concentration of our Master's of Nursing Science into a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree, allowing nursing to join professions from medicine to dentistry and physical therapy. Graduates of this degree will be prepared to become nurse anesthetists with a scope of practice comparable to the health practitioner with a clinical doctorate.

The Baylor College of Medicine Doctor of Nursing Practice Program-Nurse Anesthesia produces future generations of professional nurse anesthetists who are leaders in clinical practice, as well as healthcare research, education, and policy.
