The Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine at Mayo Clinic is a highly integrated, collaborative group of adult and pediatric anesthesiologists who supervise more than 145,000 cases annually. The team includes more than 200 staff physicians (including approximately 40 critical care anesthesiologists), more than 50 resident physicians, more than 200 nurse anesthetists, and about 150 respiratory therapists. All are committed to providing the best care possible to patients requiring anesthesia, intensive care, and pain management.
