The UNC Department of Anesthesiology, which dates back to 1969, has a long tradition of training outstanding anesthesiologists. Our ACGME-accredited program is composed of 52 residency positions (10 PGY-1 positions and 14 positions per class in PGY 2-4 years) and every year, we attract some of the top residency candidates from across the country.
