Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
Ethesia is a specialized job board dedicated to clinicians and healthcare professionals within the United States. This Privacy Policy applies to all users of our website and services.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information to provide and improve our services:
- Personal Information: Name, email address, phone number, resume details, and other information you provide when creating an account or applying for jobs.
- Usage Data: Information about how you use our website, including IP address, browser type, pages visited, and time spent on our site.
- Cookies and Tracking Technologies: We use cookies to enhance your experience and gather information about your usage patterns. For more details, please read our Cookie Policy.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve our services.
- Facilitate job applications and communication between job seekers and employers.
- Send you updates, newsletters, and promotional materials (you can opt-out at any time).
- Analyze usage patterns to enhance user experience.
For details on subscription billing and cancellation, please see our Subscription & Cancellation Policy.
4. Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with:
- Employers: When you apply for a job, your information is shared with the prospective employer.
- Service Providers: Third-party vendors who assist us in operating our website and providing our services.
- Legal Requirements: If required by law or to protect our rights.
Your cell phone number & text-message consent. We do not sell, rent, or give your cell phone number or your consent to receive text messages to outside third parties or advertisers for their own marketing or promotional purposes. We use this information to operate Ethesia and to send the account notifications you asked for, and we share it only with the service providers that help us send those messages (for example, our text-message provider, Twilio).
Ethesia is a platform for clinicians and employers to connect, so it is important to be clear about this: when you become connected with another member — for example after an inquiry, a reply, or a match — we may share the contact details you provided, including your cell phone number, with that specific member so the two of you can reach each other. This happens because you chose to connect with that member; those members use Ethesia and are not outside third parties. See our SMS & Text Messaging Policy for how text notifications work.

- Right to non-discrimination: we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
To exercise your right to know, delete, or correct, email support@ethesia.com with the subject “Privacy Request.” We will verify your request and respond within the timeframes required by law. You may also use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf.
7. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed for these purposes, we delete it or anonymize it.

In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify affected users and the appropriate authorities without undue delay and in accordance with applicable law.
